Basic and Clinical Anatomy
Anatomical illustration has a long tradition in medicine and healthcare oriented publishing houses, as well as in anatomy departments of medical schools. Although our graphic designers are not trained in section rooms of pathology departments, they specialize in didactic sketching instead, helping the authors to show the detail needed. Although most books apprearing in Maxdorf (as well as in other medical publishing houses in the Czech Republic) are targeted to clinicians, who as a matter of course passed the exam on anatomy in the past, for most of us is an anatomical illustration of great help in understanding the subject. Good anatomical illustrations often give the book a great "value added".
